You say WHY? You probably want to keep all the secrets to yourself, so that you will have all the work and make a million $. Well if you have had several years in the craft I will bet that your are not a millioniare yet.
WHY NOT? Why not help the industry by sharing, not all, but some of your secrets with that young businessman down the street from you, who is probably doing substandard work and making the industry as a whole look bad.
This is already affecting you, You say. That knew kid on the block has already cut into your profits.
Whether you like it or not the new kids on the block are gonna keep coming and you will never change that.
Well, substandard work hurts the the whole industry and I firmly beleive that if we help these "NEW KIDS" we are actually helping ourselves.
#1 By helping we maintain standards.
#2 By maintaining standards we help the whole industry look good.
#3 If the industry looks good the consumer will keep noticing NEON as a sharp advertising medium.
#4 If the industry looks bad the consumer will eventually stop buying NEON.
#5 If this happens we will all be affected far more than just our profits at this moment, We will have no work at all.
